Questioning Logic

The hardest part to me about College is that they make you question everything you hold dear… Your beliefs and everything that really matters to you… then they try to make you throw it in a blender. It’s a rather weird thing to do but they are trying to get you to use something called “critical thinking”.

I feel rather torn and annoyed with this subject because I feel they are trying to pin point it against various subjects including specific religions in an indirect way which I think is an unfair method. A lot of these methods or questions that tend to be brought up are questioning how the human mind works, and things that been instilled in us since we were children, challenging if any of these things could be even true or not.

At the same time I understand why people would want to do such a thing but I only understand to a certain extent why you would do such a thing. Man tends to over-analyze and think about things too much in general and that’s where we get people believing the most bizarre, unusual things that aren’t even true…

Besides that my classes have been quite great, My art class is going great, Photography is a lot of fun… rather boring at the moment but I have a feeling it will be more challenging in the future… or I at least hope so! English is the only class I am having any problems with, and the teacher seems nice so far, I am just waiting for us to start doing work and such.
I hope you guys have a wonderful day and enjoy life! I believe that sometimes we just need to get to our roots and realize what we love and appreciate it, over-analyzing and over-thinking can sometimes just be too much.

About Joshua Reber

I enjoy showing the beauty of the world through another's eyes. I believe that it is something meant to be cherished and shared with the people that abide in every part of this planet we live on. It's a treasure that I plan on sharing with my children and my children's children someday. I believe that it is every man has the right to see and enjoy what we have around us. I share this beauty by showing it through the eye of a lens... To portray what I see to others. Demonstrating how my mind, my eyes see what is before me. Letting each person see the glimpse of a smile, feel the warmth of a summer's night, hear the movement of leaves being blown by the wind on an autumn day, taste the salty air of the ocean's breeze and to smell the damp forest earth beneath my feet. What I believe is what I share, and what I share is something displayed all around me. I am Joshua Reber.
